Yuvraj Singh: The fighter Part -4

Part I, II, III, IV

This is last part of the series, I am feeling sad for the lanky left hander.

Win vs AUS

It goes without saying that Form is temporary, Class is permanent. Yuvraj proved every possible bit of it.  He helped India win the first T-Twenty world cup, he helped team India win the ICC World Cup 2011. Shortly after the World Cup, he was diagnosed with a cancer in his lungs and he flew to US for the medical help. He will spend like quite sometime in the states getting treated with all sort of technology like chemotherapy and medication.

He will get isolated from cricket, which is heart aching for him and the fans around the world. Yuvraj Singh – without cricket cannot happen. But as they say, sometime “God has a plan for you”. After recovering from the dark disease he will comeback in the squad for AUS touring India. It will turnout a disaster for him, failing to score any runs what so ever. Then he will be picked for the T-Twenty against Pakistan. Yuvraj will hit Ajmal for three sixes in an over and trolling Pakistan to taste their first defeat on the Indian Tour.

Then he will be picked for T-Twenty 2014 world cup. But he will not score much and in the final against SL he will score in a single digit while his strike rate in that inning will sour.  After India will go on to loose the T-Twenty world cup 2014 to Sri Lanka. He was drooped from the team and then also not considered for World Cup 2015 which was held in Australia.

It’s tough for us, to see India sideline such a great star from World Cup. He gave you  two world cups but you could not offer  him a place in the World Cup squad. I don’t know while deciding the team the selectors considered  Form is temporary, but Class is permanent

India lost to Australia in the semifinal, The same team which humiliated team India in 2003 WC final. The same team which was thrown out of the tournament in 2011 because there was Yuvraj Singh who did which India couldn’t do in WC2003 or WC2015.

Even his form in the IPL has been poor but if you ask me I will always trust Yuvraj as the match winner as he proved numerous times during his career.  Not just that, He is a real fighter when it comes to beating the disease like cancer, for which you require focus, intent. Last but not the least is the Fighter Spirit.

Yuvraj Singh: You are the proudest son of India, fierce competitor, a prank-star who believe in laughing it off, You are truly a Prince of Cricket.
